My Kind of Guy

After I read My Imaginary Ex and No Strings Attached, I am always waiting for a new novel of Ms. Mina V. Esguerra. But the long wait is over because her new novel will be released this April.

Here's the summary of her latest novel, That Kind of Guy:

Good girl Julie never expected her
                 hot former-player boyfriend to
propose marriage. But when he did,
she turned him down for reasons even
she couldn't figure out. Will she settle
for a nice, safe guy instead?
Or will she let him find his way
back into her carefully guarded heart?

My Kind of Guy

When I was in sixth grade I had a crush with my classmate who is a basketball player. He is so cute, nice, and friendly. I like the way he smile because it makes him more cute. I will never forget the day when he said that he likes me and wanted to court me, God knows how happy I am that time. Unfortunately, that didn't happen(the court thing) because I'm afraid of my parents. They are strict and didn't want me to have a boyfriend at that time.

When I was in high school I have a schoolmate who is really good at dancing. He's a cool guy, funny and smart. I just noticed him and had a crush on him when we were in our senior year. There's a dance competition in our school and he's one of the contestant. Gosh! when he dance, It feels like he's dancing for me.

Well, I must say, I always fall for a guy who is good at dancing or, if not, a basketball player. I don't know why, but I'm always attracted to That Kind of guy. Maybe because of me, dreaming to be (a) with my dancer boyfriend and that he is teaching me how to dance *kilig*, or (b) to be in a basketball court, watching and cheering for my boyfriend.

To add some, My kind of guy. . .

  • is a romantic one.
  • is religious.
  • knows how to make me laugh and smile.
  • is a guy who could make me feel special.
  • is understanding, because sometimes I am moody/topakin.
  • must be close with my family and friends.
  • would be proud to introduce me to his family and friends.
  • would respect and love me for who I am.
